Rotarians to Host World’s Largest Polio Walk on Oct. 24
Community members are invited to join Rotary District 5950, families and others 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in Macy’s Court at the Mall of America for the World’s Largest Polio Walk in recognition of World Polio Day. Polio is a contagious viral disease that can attack the nervous system and cause permanent paralysis or death. There is no cure, but polio is completely preventable through safe and effective routine childhood vaccination. Ridgeview’s Two Twelve Emergency Department Re-Designated Level 4 Trauma Hospital
Ridgeview’s Emergency Department at Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska has been re-designated as a Level 4 Trauma Hospital by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). The designation affirms Ridgeview’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality emergency and trauma care to patients throughout the southwest metro region. As part of the re-designation process, MDH conducted a comprehensive site review of the Emergency Department this spring. The review evaluated the hospital’s trauma program, clinical capabilities and compliance with statewide trauma system standards.
