Summergate Development announced the groundbreaking of Summerfield, a new residential subdivision that will bring 276 new homes, modern amenities and new opportunities for families to the growing community of Carver.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on July 17, marked the official start of construction and welcomed local officials, project partners and invited guests to celebrate the milestone.
Situated on approximately 113 acres just west of County Road 40 and Maplewood Road, Summerfield will feature homes with a variety of designs to meet the needs of first-time homebuyers, growing families and retirees. Planned community features include parks, walking trails and green space. It is the first phase of a more than 2,500 unit master planned community.
The development is expected to generate local economic activity throughout the construction process while expanding housing options for residents of Carver. Infrastructure improvements, including new roads, utilities and drainage systems, will also support the area’s continued growth.
Construction of the first phase is expected to begin immediately, with the initial homes anticipated to be available by Spring 2027. Additional phases will be completed over the next five to 10 years.
