Get Ready to “Plant a Seed, Read”

The school year is winding down for many students, which means it’s almost time for the Carver County Library Summer Reading Program!

Beginning June 1, participate in the Plant a Seed, Read program by tracking reading in one of two ways:

  • Create (or log into) a Beanstack account online or in the app for Apple or Android and register for the 2026 Summer Reading Program to track activities online.
  • Use new paper reading trackers, which will be available for ages birth-11 and teens aged 12-18.

Bring the completed tracker to the library and choose a book prize.

Visit a library branch in person and enter bonus drawings for a chance to win tickets to a Minnesota Twins game. Additional prizes may include tickets to the Minnesota State Fair and Sea Life at Mall of America.

Additionally, there will be two contests that begin on June 1:

  • Bookmarks for ages 5-11
  • Stickers for ages 12-18 (based on the theme)

Visit the library to learn more and check the calendar for a full list of fun, free activities, programs and performances to keep kids stay busy this summer.
