Chanhassen to Hold Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on May 25

The City of Chanhassen will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026 to honor and remember the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in military service to the country.

Due to ongoing construction at City Center Park, this year’s ceremony will be held at the Al Klingelhutz Memorial Pavilion at Lake Ann Park beginning at 12 p.m. The Memorial Day observance will also include traditional cemetery services earlier in the morning at three local cemeteries. Services will begin at 7:45 a.m. at Leach Cemetery, Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery and St. Hubert’s Cemetery.

The annual ceremony brings together veterans, families, residents and community leaders in remembrance and reflection while honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.

This year’s keynote speaker is Miki Huntington, a U.S. Army veteran who served for 25 years before transitioning into higher education and professional coaching. Huntington currently teaches Political Science at Minneapolis College, serves as the college’s New Faculty Coach and works as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and leadership development coach.

The event is free and open to the public.

Memorial Day Schedule:

• 7:45 a.m. – Cemetery services at Leach Cemetery, Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery and St. Hubert’s Cemetery
• 12 p.m. – Memorial Day Ceremony at the Al Klingelhutz Memorial Pavilion at Lake Ann Park
