Free Summer Music Concerts Continue in Southwest Metro

All four of our southwest Metro Area communities — Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria — have hosted numerous free music concerts so far this summer. Audience numbers have been strong on many of the evenings.

Take a look at the wide variety of music offerings and get the dates on your calendar. The concerts are a great place to enjoy some quality music and connect with your fellow residents.

Make plans to attend the remaining music offerings.

Carver

The “Concerts in Carver” series continues at 6 p.m. July 22 with a performance by Richard Larson. The series concludes with Wiggle Jiggle and Jam at 6 p.m. on Aug. 5.

Chanhassen

The Chanhassen Summer Concert Series takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays on the shores of Lake Ann. This space provides ample parking, amenities like bathrooms, food trucks and a concession stand, along with watercraft rentals.

The 2026 schedule is continuing with the final two concerts on July 23 with Raquel Hawkins, a country band; followed by a blues/rock band Retro Soul & Westside Horns featuring Big Mike on July 30.

(Aug. 6 is a back-up night in case bad weather forces the cancellation of one of the summer’s concerts.)

Chaska

The Tuesday kids’ concert series is continuing as well with Sticks and Stones performing at 10:30 a.m. on July 28, and then The Jolly Pops at 6 p.m. on Aug. 11. The series wraps up at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 with Acoustic Rock for Kids, featuring John Kerns.

The ongoing Thursday night concerts are being held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the newly upgraded City Square Park in downtown Chaska this summer.

Next up on July 23 is a concert with the Minnesota Valley Community Band. Jazz on the Prairie is slated for July 30, with the Chaska Middle School Garage Bands performing Aug. 6.

The final three Thursday concerts are Chase and Ovation: A Salute to the Music of Prince on Aug. 13; Eclipse on Aug. 20; and Matthew Aitch on Aug. 27.

Victoria

Bayfront Park in downtown Victoria plays host to several more free concerts this summer, held  Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. The Charlson Thun Community Bandstand overlooks Stieger Lake.

Classic Car Nights are hosted by the Victoria Business Association in Downtown Victoria on the second and fourth Wednesday evenings June through August. Kid Nights are one hour with a family-friendly band and other fun activities for kids.
