Carver Residents Celebrate Start of Holiday Season

There was excitement that was difficult to contain — plus cries of terror, shy interactions and inquisitive looks — as Santa arrived at Carver City Hall Saturday afternoon for the annual celebration.

Sponsored by the Carver Lions Club and Carver Fire Department, “Carver Village Christmas” welcomed dozens of kids and families as they enjoyed treats, crafts and temporary tattoos. There was even a coloring contest for the youngsters to participate in.

The highlight, though, was pictures with Santa, who arrived by firetruck on a chilly afternoon.

Later in the day, people gathered at Gazebo Park for the annual Tree Lighting ceremony to mark the start of the 2025 Holiday Season.
