Kids Gather for 72nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Chaska

Dozens of excited kids, ages 0 to 10, lined up along the edges of Chaska City Square Park on Saturday morning, April 19, in anticipation of the 2025 Easter Egg Hunt.

Sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Chaska, Unit 57, the event celebrated its 72nd year in 2025. Started in the 1950s, the annual Easter Egg Hunt is one of Chaska’s oldest celebrations.

After the announcer counted down to the start, kids and parents rushed into the park to collect brightly colored plastic eggs filled with candy. The park was swept clean of Easter eggs within a few minutes.

Then families lined up to meet the Easter Bunny and snap a few photos.
