Carver County Construction Seasons Rolls Along

In many areas of Carver County, it’s evident that construction season is in full swing. Here’s a recap of several current projects:

  • Highways 41/10 (Engler Boulevard) in Chaska – Crews have been working on resurfacing, installing storm sewers, grading turn lanes and preparing trails. Next week, temporary fencing will go up at the middle school, and storm sewer installation will continue.
The intersection of Bavaria Road and Engler Boulevard is closed for roundabout construction until early June. Plan to follow detours on Highways 61, 11, and 212.
  • Highways 11/14 in Victoria – Beginning April 14, this intersection will be closed for roundabout construction. Review detour information, which includes Shady Oak Drive and Highways 10, 11 and 43. At this time, the estimated reopen date is early July.
  • Highway 11 (Victoria Drive) near Carver County Reserve in Victoria – This highway is closed for culvert installation and the direction of access to Carver Park Reserve will shift while the project is active (through at least the end of July). Visitors can currently access the area from the south via Highway 5. A detour uses Rolling Acres Road (County Road 13).
  • 82nd Street, near the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, serving Chaska, Chanhassen, and Victoria – The street is closed until the fall between Bavaria Road and Highway 41 except for residential traffic. The project will address congestion and safety issues while improving the street to accommodate future growth.
