Santa Weaves His Way Throughout Chaska

Thanks to the Chaska Fire Department, Police Department and Public Works Department, Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch were chauffeured throughout the city Wednesday night for the annual Santa Parade.

The parade route started at the Temporary Fire Station at 4:30 p.m. and concluded about four hours later. Local residents, including many youngsters, lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the Jolly Old Elf and others. They let out a big cheer and waved when the decorated police vehicles, plows and fire trucks passed by.

The crowd outside the Crown of Glory Lutheran Church was ready with cow bells to welcome Santa’s parade. As the line of vehicles approached, the kids were ready.

“Here he comes,” yelled one boy. “I see him.”

As Santa waved from the window of his vehicle, the youngsters were thrilled.
