October Highlights at Carver County Libraries


Carver County libraries are buzzing with activity this month, offering creative, educational and community-centered events for all ages. Mark your calendars and bring your family, friends and neighbors to join the fun!

Family Craft Day – Chaska Library
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
All ages are welcome at this hands-on event! A wide variety of craft activities will be available, with all supplies provided. Come create, share ideas and take home your handmade treasures.

Come on Get App-y – Chanhassen Library
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025 – 6 to 7 p.m.
This session is designed especially for adults who want to get the most out of their technology. Learn how to use apps like Libby, Princh, CCL Mobile and more with guidance from Scott “the Tech Guy.” Bring your smartphone, tablet or laptop for personalized, hands-on instruction.

Friends of the Library Book Sales
Looking to add to your personal collection while supporting a great cause? Don’t miss the Friends of the Library Book Sales! These are perfect for book lovers of all ages, offering a wide variety of titles at bargain prices. Proceeds go directly toward supporting library programs and services.

  • Chanhassen Library:
    • Thursday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m.
    • Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Sunday, Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Chaska Library:
    • Friday, Oct. 24 from 2 to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
