Victoria Road Construction Projects Ongoing

Several construction projects continue in Victoria.

Downtown West

Due to weather and soil conditions, the Victoria Downtown West Improvement Project (Highway 5/11) timeline has been delayed. Construction of a roundabout at highways 5 and 11 will be postponed until spring 2026.

Current work is focused on installing a storm sewer on the new Stieger Lake Lane Roadway, excavating/hauling on Highway 11, and utility boring under Highway 5.

For the remainder of this year, crews will continue to work on several things, such as extending Stieger Lake Lane to Highway 11 (with new sewer and water main), constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Stieger Lake Lane and Highway 11, developing storm water ponds, and relocating sewer and water main to prepare for the roundabout at Highway 5 and 11.

Highway 11 (near Carver Park Reserve)

Drainage basin and storm water system work continues on this project. Access to the Reserve, Lake Auburn Church, and Humanity Alliance are open from the north by taking Highway 7 to Highway 11.

Crews plan to install curbs, gutters and pedestrian ramps in late September and early October.

Highway 11/14 Roundabout

Though the new Highway 11 (Victoria Drive)/Highway 14 (Pioneer Trail) roundabout opened in late August, work continues on the southwest corner. Take care to remain alert for workers and construction equipment while driving in the area.
