Taste of Chaska Draws Thousands

More than 4,000 attended this year’s “Taste of Chaska” event in Fireman’s Park on Wednesday. It was a brilliant, Minnesota blue-sky, summer-like evening for those in attendance. A few youngsters even took advantage of the warm weather to take their first dip of the season in the adjacent Fireman’s Lake.

The 40th year of the outdoor festival featured more than 70 vendors, including restaurants, food trucks, churches, community organizations, medical providers and businesses. Music also was provided for the crowd by a local band.

The evening was filled with games of chance for prizes, kids’ activities including bounce houses, food samples, giveaways and more.

“The Taste of Chaska is one of our signature events,” said Steve Curtis, president of the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce. “It brings people to downtown Chaska for an evening of experiencing the diversity of our community businesses and organizations.”
