The O.G. Coffee & Wine Bar Opens in Chanhassen

Chanhassen’s newest coffee and gathering space, The O.G. Coffee & Wine Bar celebrates its grand opening on Feb. 8. The eclectic new hangout combines the warmth of a coffee shop with a creative vibe and a focus on supporting local and woman-owned businesses.

“Chanhassen has always felt like home and I wanted to create something special here,” said owner Julie Jost. “There was no truly local coffee shop and I felt this was the perfect opportunity to bring one to life.”

Located at 600 Market Street in the former Wink Family Eye Care office, the space has been completely renovated from an optometry office to a cozy and modern hangout.

The interior features a blend of reclaimed, vintage and repurposed decor, much of it sourced from local businesses and woman-owned enterprises. “I wanted to create a space where you could grab a coffee, bring your laptop and just hang out,” Jost said.

A prominent decor feature is a striking image of Prince from one of his concerts, a nod to the late artists’ Chanhassen roots.

Along with crafted coffee and wine selections, The OG Coffee & Wine Bar will offer locally-sourced baked goods from Patisserie 46 and empanadas made by a Venezuelan friend.

From real estate to construction to design, Jost said every step was woman-led. “Our focus is on supporting local and small businesses,” she said, noting a retail section featuring candles, mugs, print items and snacks—all sourced from woman-oriented business owners across the Twin Cities.

Jost said she plans to host events like book clubs, social gatherings and creative workshops.

The O.G. Coffee & Wine Bar is located at 600 Market Street, 110 in Chanhassen.

Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find The O.G. Coffee & Wine Bar online: https://www.ogcoffeewine.com/
