Evercyn Dawson, age seven, of Chaska has been crowned National American Miss Minnesota Princess, earning a $128,000 scholarship to Midland University and the opportunity to represent Minnesota while sharing her message of kindness, confidence and believing in yourself. Additionally, she placed first in competitions that included: talent, spokesmodel, media correspondent, actress, screentest, dream model, aspiring author and casual wear.
National American Miss (NAM) is a national pageant organization dedicated to providing girls and young women with opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills and create lasting friendships. The organization celebrates young women for their accomplishments, personalities, talents and commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.
As part of her new title, Evercyn will represent Minnesota at the National American Miss Pageant in Orlando, Fla. in November, where she will compete alongside other state titleholders from across the country.
Evercyn’s community service initiative, “A Sparkle of Kindness,” is at the heart of her mission. Through the initiative, Evercyn delivers random acts of kindness to senior living facilities and to people throughout her community who may need a little extra sparkle of kindness.

Evercyn Dawson is a seven years old and is the newly crowned National American Miss Minnesota Princess. She will be entering second grade at Saint Joseph STEM School in Waconia.
Evercyn comes from a family dedicated to serving their community. Her dad serves on the Chaska Fire Department, giving Evercyn a firsthand example of what it means to help others and give back to the community.
