Kraus-Anderson (KA) has begun renovations at Jonathan Elementary School located at 110300 Pioneer Trail in Chaska.
Improvements will create flexible, student-centered learning environments while preserving and revitalizing key areas of the existing school.
Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the $12.6 million, 84,728-square-foot project features renovations to classrooms, collaborative learning areas, media center, art and music spaces, special education and support areas, administrative offices and student support spaces.
Additional updates will be made to the cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, performance and gathering spaces, restroom facilities and circulation areas throughout the school.
The project will also include upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting and technology systems to improve energy efficiency, comfort and long-term building performance.
Construction will be completed in phases to help minimize disruption to school operations and is expected to be completed in August of 2027.
