The Chanhassen Lions Club Foundation, established in 2020 in partnership with the Chanhassen Lions Club, is making a difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Chanhassen and surrounding communities.
Created to expand the Lions Club’s ability to serve those facing hardship or crisis, the foundation’s mission is rooted in compassion, community service and direct local impact. As a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all donations made to the foundation are tax deductible.
Over the past several years, the Chanhassen Lions Club Foundation has provided critical support to families and individuals experiencing difficult circumstances, including:
- Providing financial assistance to a grieving family whose high school-aged daughter was undergoing chemotherapy.
- Supporting a family after their infant son experienced a serious medical emergency requiring intensive care.
- Assisting a local family of four school-aged children being raised by an older sibling following the loss of both parents.
- Bringing holiday cheer to seniors through the annual delivery of poinsettias to residents at three senior housing facilities in Chanhassen.
“The need in our community continues to grow, and the foundation is committed to helping where it can,” said representatives of the Chanhassen Lions Club Foundation. “Our goal is simple — neighbors helping neighbors during some of life’s most challenging moments.”
Community members are encouraged to reach out if they know of individuals or families in the area who may benefit from assistance.
