Katlin Ritenour, an infant teacher at The Goddard School of Chanhassen, has been selected as a 2026 Goddard School Teacher of the Year Award regional finalist. The Goddard School is a leading early childhood education provider.

As the lead teacher in the infant classroom, the local school says Ritenour creates a warm, responsive environment that helps infants thrive and families feel confident during their child’s first school experience.
“This recognition means so much to me,” Ritenour said. “Creating a calm, nurturing space where infants feel safe and families feel supported is at the heart of my work, and I’m proud to be part of that experience for so many families.”
Now in its 20th year, The Goddard School Teacher of the Year Award celebrates outstanding Goddard School educators. This year, more than 7,500 teachers from across The Goddard School’s more than 680 locations were nominated by families and their colleagues in four classroom categories (infant, toddler, preschool/pre-k and kindergarten) across four regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West). In total, more than 11,700 nominations were submitted. Sixteen teachers — including Ritenour — were selected as regional finalists for exemplifying excellence, leadership, creativity and a safe, nurturing teaching approach.
“Katlin brings warmth and intention into everything she does,” said Steve Errington, owner of The Goddard School of Chanhassen. “She is an excellent communicator, which is a crucial skill for a teacher working with new parents actively managing early developmental stages. Our school is a top-rated Goddard School for parent satisfaction nationally, and Katlin is a big reason why.”
“At the heart of The Goddard School’s high-quality early childhood education are educators who feel valued, trusted and equipped to lead,” said Dr. Lauren Loquasto, senior vice president and chief academic officer, GSL. “This year’s Teacher of the Year honorees demonstrate how thoughtful teaching can spark curiosity and support children as they discover and explore their interests. We are thankful for the enthusiasm, passion and care they bring to their classrooms.”
As a 2026 Teacher of the Year regional finalist, GSL gifted Ritenour a $1,000 cash award, merchandise and a framed certificate.
