Congressional District 6 DFL Candidate Forum Scheduled

The Congressional District 6 DFL invites voters and community members to attend the official Congressional District 6 DFL Candidate Forum on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Chaska High School.

The event will feature DFL candidates seeking the party’s nomination for the district’s congressional seat, offering voters the opportunity to hear directly from those vying to unseat GOP Majority Whip Congressman Tom Emmer.

Registration and social time will begin at 4:30 p.m., allowing attendees to meet the candidates and connect with fellow community members. The forum will start promptly at 5 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 6:30 p.m.

The discussion will be moderated by Representative Lucy Rehm, who will guide candidates through questions on issues such as affordable housing, education, environment, first amendment, tariffs and taxes.

The event is the third in a series of forums scheduled throughout the district, each moderated by community leaders and focusing on topics relevant to local voters. Future forums will be held in St. Cloud and Monticello, with each event featuring a unique set of discussion topics.

All members of the public are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is encouraged to ensure adequate seating. You can register to attend at https://www.mobilize.us/dfl/event/799950/.
