Victoria Launches Community Engagement for Two Future Parks

The City of Victoria invites community members to help shape the future of its parks through a new citywide engagement initiative: “Explore Together, Dream Together.”

This summer, residents can provide feedback through a public survey and attend interactive community events that focus on two future park sites in the city’s growing southern area: Huntersbrook Park and Marsh Hollow Park.

“These parks will serve not only nearby neighborhoods but the entire Victoria community,” said Victoria Parks & Recreation Director Jenna Smith. “We’re excited to hear what features, spaces, and programming people want to see. With your input, we can create meaningful outdoor spaces that reflect our shared vision.”

Survey Now Open

Residents are encouraged to participate in the 2025 Park Engagement Survey now available on the City of Victoria’s website. Feedback from the survey will help guide the design, amenities, and natural features of both park sites, as well as inform future park planning across the city. The survey is available at https://www.victoriamn.gov/parksurvey.

Family-Friendly Community Engagement Events

To help the community experience the future park locations firsthand, the city is hosting two family-friendly engagement events at each site. Attendees will enjoy outdoor activities and interactive stations to spark creativity and conversation around what these parks could become. Frozen treats will be available for purchase from The Ice Cream Princess.

About the Future Parks

Huntersbrook Park (approx. 5.5 acres) and Marsh Hollow Park (approx. 5 acres, including 1.5 acres of preserved woodland) are within walking distance of each other and will serve a variety of recreational and environmental goals. The city is looking for community input to guide what types of amenities should be shared, preserved, or expanded between the two sites.
