Tune in to Upcoming Online Author Talks 


The final two author talks of the Winter Reads program through the Carver County Library are scheduled in February. The hour-long talks start at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live through the library’s Facebook page.  

  • Feb. 10 — Sally Franson, author of Big in Sweden and A Lady’s Guide to Selling Out (a Minnesota Book Award finalist), her writing has appeared in several leading publications such as New York Times and The Guardian. Franson has also been featured on NPR, The Jason Show and other television shows. She resides with her family in Minneapolis. The talk will be moderated by author Daniel Hornsby, a Minneapolis-based author of novels Via Negativa and Sucker.
  • Feb. 18 – Marcie R. Rendon, author of the popular Cash Blackbear murder mystery series and Where They Last Saw Her, Rendon is author, playwright, poet and freelance writer. She’s also a community arts activist and an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation.

A January session with Ellie Palmer, author of Four Weekends and a Funeral, is available to view on the library website.
