Middle Schooler Chosen for State Honor Jazz Band


One Eastern Carver County Schools middle school band student auditioned and was selected for the 7/8 State Honor Jazz Band, sponsored by the Minnesota Band Directors Association (MBDA). Nadia Ayouche (trombone) from Chaska Middle School West will participate with the State Honor Jazz Band. She is a student of Tanya Gabel and Eric Songer.

Ayouche will participate in a day of rehearsal and performance at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids on Saturday, Jan. 25, and a featured performance at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Conference on Friday, Feb. 14, in Minneapolis.
