StormHawks Boys Volleyball Starts Season
The StormHawks boys’ volleyball team opened their home season with a competitive four-set loss to Rosemont after earning a straight-sets win over Lakeville North earlier in the week. They continued to show strong effort in a five-set road match at Minnetonka and will look to build momentum in their next home game against Benilde-St. Margaret’s on April 21.

Chaska High School’s boy’s tennis team opened its season with a 6–1 loss to Southwest Christian, with junior Connor Fouks earning the Hawks’ lone win. Despite the result, head coach Zach Williams is encouraged by the team’s effort and development as they prepare to challenge conference opponents.

Boys Basketball State Champs Celebrate Their Win at CHS
Chaska Hawks celebrated their state championship with a late-night pep rally at CHS, where the community, students, staff, and family gathered to welcome the team as they were escorted in by police and fire personnel. The event featured remarks from school leaders, Coach Hayes, and players reflecting on the team’s turnaround from a 3–4 start to a 25-game winning streak and expressing pride in bringing the title home to Chaska.

Chaska Wins State Boys Basketball Championship
Chaska capped a remarkable turnaround from a 3–4 start with a 25-game winning streak, defeating Apple Valley 63–55 to win the 2026 Class 4A state title in boys basketball—the program’s first since 2004. The Hawks used balanced scoring, strong defense, and rebounding to control much of the game, then held off a late surge led by Apple Valley. Clutch free-throw shooting from Kalin Jochum in the final minutes sealed the victory and completed Chaska’s championship run.

Chaska Shines in 2026 Boys State Basketball Tournament
Chaska advanced in the 2026 Boys State Basketball Tournament with a decisive 71–53 win over Lakeville South, powered by strong shooting and balanced scoring. The Hawks then upset undefeated, top-seeded Tartan 60–51 behind disciplined defense, rebounding, and key late-game plays, including clutch three-pointers from Jed Keenan. Chaska now moves on to the Class 4A state championship game against Apple Valley at Williams Arena.

StormHawks Wrestlers Honor Seniors and Split at Regular Season Ending Triangular Meet
The StormHawks wrestling team split results at a February 5 triangular meet, falling to Scott West before rebounding with a dominant 61–6 win over Mahtomedi, highlighted by strong individual performances and pins from five different wrestlers. The night also celebrated the seniors’ final home matches, all of whom fished with victories, as the team built momentum heading into sectionals.

The Chaska boys’ hockey team closed out its final home game of the season with a strong Senior Night performance, defeating St. Paul Academy–Summit School 7–1 behind balanced scoring and steady puck control. The win highlighted the team’s growth and confidence as the Hawks head into their final regular-season games before section play.
