CITY COUNCIL UPDATES
Community Center Open House
The city recently hosted an open house for the Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center, where residents reviewed updated plans, explored new renderings and shared feedback with staff and project partners.
2026 Legislative Priorities Adopted
Each year, the City Council adopts a set of legislative priorities to share with state and federal elected officials. These priorities help guide conversations on policies and funding decisions that may impact Chanhassen, from transportation and infrastructure to local government authority and public safety. Review the full list here.
Civic Campus Phase II Progress
Construction continues at City Center Park as Phase II of the Civic Campus project moves forward. Recent updates highlight early work on the stage structure and park pavilion, which will include community gathering spaces, restrooms and a concessions area. While more visible activity will ramp up this spring, key groundwork is already complete as the former City Hall site transforms into a new downtown park scheduled to open next summer. Watch the latest walking tour here.
Street Project Updates
The city published updates on several major transportation and infrastructure projects across Chanhassen that took place during 2025. The Highway 41 roundabout at Minnetonka Middle School West has been rescheduled for summer 2028 following higher-than-expected construction bids, with a temporary traffic signal planned for spring 2026 to help manage school access during Highway 5 detours. Council also reviewed completed work on Galpin Boulevard and Crimson Bay Road, both of which expanded access to public utilities and improved long-term safety. In addition, updates were shared on the 2025 Pavement Rehabilitation Project and the revised scope and timing of the Market Boulevard rehabilitation, which is now planned for 2026. Read the full street projects update here.
See you around Chanhassen!
