Midco® Expands Victoria Services Following Franchise Agreement

Midco, a regional telecommunications company, is expanding its services in Victoria following the city’s approval of a new television franchise. Current fiber internet customers will have the ability to add MidcoTV to their services.

“We are thrilled to expand our services and broaden our investment in Victoria,” said Midco President and Chief Operating Officer Ben Dold. “Since we began construction there in 2024, we have enjoyed getting to know the people of Victoria and delivering them our best-in-class network and customer-centric approach outlined in our Midco Customer Commitment.”

Midco has built 80,000 feet of fiber network and connected more than 700 homes in Victoria since construction began. More than 1,500 additional homes will be connected this year and Midco will finish building out the entire community by the end of 2026.

“We are pleased to welcome Midco to Victoria,” said City Manager Dana Hardie. “More choices for our residents is an important step in supporting connectivity, access to information and quality of life in our community. We value strong partnerships and look forward to working with Midco.”

“The Southwest Metro Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Midco’s expansion of services in the City of Victoria,” said Steve Curtis, president of the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce. “This growth brings even more opportunities to connect our community with reliable, high-quality solutions while supporting our thriving local business community. We value our strong partnership with Midco and look forward to working together for many years to come as we support the success and vitality of our region.”

“I’m grateful to the Victoria City Council and city staff for their commitment to providing choices to the citizens they serve,” said Midco Government Relations Manager Elly Burroughs. “Midco is more than a telecommunications provider—we’re a partner, community champion and force for good. This franchise agreement is the next step in a long-term investment in the city of Victoria, its economy and its incredible people.”
