There’s no shortage of exciting activities at Carver County libraries this summer!
From family-friendly StoryWalks® to adult Book Bingo, there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget about the ongoing Summer Reading Program and all the other fun events happening across the county.
Book Bingo for Adults
Plan to visit the Chanhassen library on Sunday, June 29, from 1-3 p.m. for Book Bingo. It’s a chance to win a free, gently used book, and it’s happening simultaneously with a puzzle swap. Supported by the Friends of the Chanhassen Library, this event is a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
StoryWalk® – Enjoy a Stroll and a Story
The StoryWalk® program continues this summer. Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by the corner of 4th Street and Pine in Chaska (across from the Chaska Library and next to the DMV) to check out the story.

On Thursday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visit the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand in Victoria. Pages from a picture book will be posted along the walking path, making it a fun and interactive experience for the whole family.
(Note: StoryWalk® events will be canceled in case of bad weather. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard library.)
CHANforum: Look for the Helpers
On Saturday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Chanhassen library will host Look for the Helpers, a panel discussion with local nonprofit organizations. Learn about their work in the community and how you can get involved. Registration is not required, but it helps staff plan for seating. Can’t attend in person? Don’t worry, the program will be streamed on the library’s Facebook page and available on social media afterward. This event is hosted by Chanhassen Communities of Belonging.
Summer Reading Program & Teen Sticker Design Contest
If you haven’t signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet, there’s still time! Teens, be sure to enter the sticker design contest by August 9. Winning designs will be turned into stickers available at all library branches starting in October. One winner from each of the six library branches will be chosen via a vote.

Library Closurw
Please note that all Carver County library branches will be closed on July 4th in celebration of Independence Day. They’ll be back to regular hours on July 5.
