The 42nd annual Chanhassen Fourth of July Celebration is fast approaching.
From carnival rides and parades to a fireworks grand finale, this signature event always brings thousands of area residents together at City Center Park, Lake Ann Park and downtown Chanhassen.
New for 2025, the festivities begin Tuesday night, July 1, with a Movie in the Park showing of “The Parent Trap” (1998), sponsored by Xfinity. The free screening at City Center Park starts at 9 p.m. and includes complimentary popcorn and movie theater candy.
The main event officially kicks off Wednesday, July 2, with Family Night at the Carnival. Attendees can enjoy discounted rides, youth performances, face painting and more.
Festivities continue Thursday, July 3, with a full slate of activities, including the Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Clinic, Business Expo, Taste of Chanhassen and an evening Street Dance featuring the Johnny Holm Band.
On Friday, July 4, events span the day — from fishing contests and a classic car show to bingo, chalk art and live music—before culminating with the Chanhassen 4th of July Parade at 2:30 p.m. and a fireworks spectacular over Lake Ann at 10 p.m.
“This celebration reflects the best of Chanhassen — families coming together, local businesses showing up in a big way, and volunteers giving their all,” said Mayor Elise Ryan. “Whether it’s your first time or your 42nd, you’re in for a fantastic time.”
Chanhassen officials thank 2025 partners, including the Rotary Club of Chanhassen, SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, SouthWest Transit, Xfinity, Nicolet National Bank, Med Box Grill, and numerous community sponsors who help make the event possible.
