Many Carver County cities host farmers markets on a weekly basis.
Held several different days of the week, there is bound to be something delicious or beautiful to purchase. As an added bonus, entertainment is available at some locations. Take time to meet local producers and show your support!
- Carver – Visit the market from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesdays at Carver Station (607 Hartwell Drive). On a recent week, attendees could purchase fresh produce, candles, soap, cheese, eggs, pickles, jam and other goodies. A food truck was also available to quench hunger pangs. It runs through Oct. 7.
- Chanhassen – Held Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at City Center Park (7700 Market Boulevard), the market runs through Sept. 28. With more than 30 vendors throughout the year, shoppers will find handmade products (e.g., jewelry, wood art, textiles, candles), flowers, produce, syrup, jam, bread, pastries and ready-to-eat food items. Additionally, free or donation-based yoga is offered at the market.
- Chaska – Fireman’s Park (3210 Chaska Boulevard) is the location for the market in Chaska, which is held Thursdays from 4-8 p.m. until mid-August (and after that, it ends at 7 p.m.). Vendors recently offered fresh vegetables, honey, jams, cheese, bread, flowers and even delicious prepared food.
In addition, free concerts are held each week through late August, sponsored by the City of Chaska. Check the schedule for more details.
- Victoria – Omni Brewery (1495 Stieger Lake Lane) serves as host on Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. from June 26 through Sept. 26. Attendees can shop for fruits, vegetables, snacks, refreshing beverages plus unique creations. The city of Victoria also sponsors a tent at the market to share resources about parks, art, community services and initiatives.
