City Hall Takes Shape as Civic Campus Construction Progresses

Chanhassen’s new Civic Campus is taking visible shape as construction moves steadily forward on Phase 1 of the project, which includes a new City Hall, Council Chambers and Senior Center slated for completion later this year.

On-site progress this spring has been significant. Brickwork is currently underway along the building’s east side and will soon begin climbing the north walls and clock tower. Meanwhile, exterior shell work is nearly done, offering protection from the elements and enabling interior work to pick up speed.

Inside, crews have wrapped up most of the second-floor framing and are beginning to hang drywall. Electrical, HVAC and plumbing installations are moving ahead on the first floor.

Outside the building, early site preparation has started in anticipation of landscaping and paving in the coming months. Window installation is also on the horizon, with measurements already underway.
