Carver County Commissioner Udermann Gets Probation Order Linked to Domestic Assault Charges

Carver County Matt Udermann will serve one year of probation related to a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.

The case against Udermann will be dismissed after successful completion of the probation terms, which include payment of restitution, adherence to a domestic abuse no-contact order and having no criminal convictions.

The probation order was issued on April 8, 2025, in Carver County District Court. A jury trial had been scheduled for April 9.

Udermann was charged on May 6, 2024 following an incident outside of Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen in which he was accused of shoving his wife.

CCLN reached out to Udermann’s attorney for comment, but did not receive a response as of Monday, April 14.

Udermann was first elected to the Carver County Board of Commissioners in 2020 and re-elected in 2024 to serve District 3, which includes parts of Chaska and Victoria. His current term expires in 2028.
