Earth Day Every Day: Make an Impact on April 17

Earth Day is rapidly approaching on April 22. The annual event focuses on raising awareness and promoting environmental protection, encouraging people to take action to protect the planet.

Leading up to Earth Day (April 17 from 3 – 4 p.m.), a panel of experts will share information about local hands-on opportunities for residents to make an impact in Carver County.

Attendees can learn from representatives of several organizations, such as Minnesota Green Corps (featuring the new Southwest Metro Lending Library), Carver County Environmental Center, Carver-Scott Master Gardeners, Carver County Library (craft supplies swaps), A Better Society (fix-It clinics), and City of Chanhassen Environmental Commission (featuring Environmental Academy, garden tools swap, and other events related to Arbor Day and Earth Day).

Make plans to attend the event at the Chanhassen Library (7711 Kerber Blvd.) and learn about how to live green close to home.

A recording of the event will be available for one month at:

While we value community input and news tips, Carver County Local News does not publish letters to the editor or rebuttal opinion pieces.
We’re also actively looking for volunteer writers to help witness events in our community and share them with others. Click here to volunteer.
