Several road construction projects will kick off March 31 with others to follow later in the year. Current plans are summarized below, though schedules may change as the projects progress.
- Bavaria Road and Engler Boulevard (Highway 10) (Chaska) – The roundabout construction begins with closure at the intersection through early June.
This large project will add multiple roundabouts to enhance safety, improve traffic flow and address long-term transportation needs. Crews will also be resurfacing the road from Highway 212 to Victoria Drive. - Bavaria Road and 82nd Street intersection (Chaska/Chanhassen/Victoria) – The closure has been postponed until after the school year ends but 82nd Street between Bavaria Road and Highway 41 will close to through traffic beginning March 31.
This project will address existing congestion and safety issues and continue through fall 2025. - Highway 11 – Carver Park Reserve (Victoria) – Highway 11 is planned to be closed to through traffic during most of the construction season (through fall 2025).
The project includes adding wider shoulders, improving road dimensions and features arrangement and adding a trail from the Downtown West area of Victoria to Lowry Nature Center.
