CFCC Opens Nominations for Award in Philanthropy

The Community Foundation for Carver County (CFCC) invites nominations for the third annual Award in Philanthropy. This local award recognizes individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to philanthropy within Carver County.

Whether through personal generosity, volunteerism, or professional expertise in guiding others toward philanthropic initiatives, nominees should embody a spirit of dedication and positive impact on the community.

Nominations for the 2025 Award in Philanthropy are open until March 7, 2025.  The foundation encourages community members to nominate deserving individuals, couples or businesses whose philanthropic efforts have made a significant difference in Carver County. Last year’s honorees were Paul Melchert, Bob Roepke and Mackenthun’s. Their contributions have set a strong example of generosity throughout the county.

“It’s an honor to celebrate the outstanding individuals who are making a difference in Carver County for the third consecutive year,” said Erin Larson, executive director of the Community Foundation for Carver County. “This award recognizes their meaningful contributions and encourages others to embrace the spirit of generosity.”

The Community Foundation for Carver County (CFCC) attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community. Since 2004, the CFCC has grown to over $1.1 million in assets and awarded over $531,000 in grants to nonprofits.

The CFCC is governed by a local board of directors and is a partner of Community Giving, which is a network of community foundations united under a single framework to create efficiencies that maximize the impact of our donors.
