The Forgetful Men’s Book Club based in Chaska has chosen for its 2024 Book of the Year – two books as co-winners – “The Personal Librarian,” by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, and “The Women,” by Kristin Hannah. The first is historical fiction and the second a novel with both featuring strong women main characters.
The book club read 12 books and eight poems during the year representing various genres. The third rated book was “James,” by Percival Everett.
The Forgetful Men’s Book Club has six members and has met monthly since 2014, most often at the Chaska Community Center. The members are Ken Hiller (Chaska), Larry Christianson (Minnetonka), Bill Johnson (Chaska), Bob Moeller (Chaska), Wayne Ward (Chaska) and Jim Pare (Prior Lake).
