Participants will rotate through engaging learning stations where they’ll explore local fish species and their habitats\, practice tying essential fishing knots\, and develop casting skills. \nThe event is designed to make fishing approachable and enjoyable for beginners\, while also encouraging quality time outdoors as a family. \nAt the conclusion of the program\, each registered child will receive a brand-new rod and reel to take home. Families are then encouraged to put their new skills into action by fishing together at Firemen’s Park Pond. \nThe Family Fishing Academy aims to inspire a lifelong love of fishing and the outdoors while creating lasting family memories.
