DESCRIPTION:Join Carver County Parks for the Baylor Soup Showdown from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday\, Oct. 3\, 2026\, at Baylor Regional Park. Enjoy a day of delicious competition\, outdoor adventure\, and community fun. \n  \nThink your soup has what it takes to win? Register as a Soup Maker and put your favorite recipe to the test. Whether you are an experienced chef or simply love cooking at home\, everyone is welcome to compete. Soup Makers will receive four free event tickets with their soup submission and have a chance to take home The Golden Ladle. \n  \nPrefer to leave the cooking to someone else? Register as a Taste Tester to sample soups and help choose the winner. You do not need to make a soup to participate as a Taste Tester. Come hungry and be ready to taste some of the best soups Carver County has to offer! \n  \nThe fun goes beyond the soup. Throughout the event\, participants can enjoy outdoor activities\, including archery\, geocaching\, and a rock climbing wall. \n  \nEvent Schedule\n\n11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Outdoor activities\n11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Soup tasting\n12:45 p.m.: Awards ceremony\n\nChildren 2 and younger are free. Invite out some friends or just bring the family out for an afternoon activity enjoying the last of the fall weather. Then warm up around a campfire (if the weather is chilly enough for it). Children must be accompanied by a participating adult\, but adults do not need to register or pay. All equipment is provided\, and nobody goes home empty handed!
