SUMMARY:MVCB Concert: Folk Songs from Around the World
DESCRIPTION:Minnesota Valley Community Band Presents Folks Songs from Around the World. \n  \nIn their annual spring concert\, the MVCB will present a free concert with works by Van Der Roost\, Holst\, Yagisawa\, Gliere\, and others all based on traditional melodies from around the world and across the centuries.  Flutes of the Spirit and the Minnesota Valley Brass Quintet will also be performing on the program. \n  \nFolk songs are rooted in the lives of ordinary people and have been carried forward through collective memory. They tell the stories of work\, love\, hardship\, history\, and the shared experiences of community to become our shared traditions. \n  \nPlease join Director Nick Hansberry & Associate Director Sam Khwice along with the band for the spirit and authenticity of Folk Songs from Around the World! \nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n More\n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading…
