Respond to emergencies by first learning how to prepare for them! \n  \nStop by our annual Victoria Fire Department Open House on Monday\, September 21\, 2026 between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. for an interactive experience as you meet our local heroes and learn how you can prepare for fire emergencies at home! Hands-on activities hosted throughout the night include riding in a fire truck\, trying out your skills with a fire hose\, and making your way through a smokey house. Enjoy other free activities for the whole family! \n  \nSafety demonstrations at the Fire Station will include showing a fire sprinkler activation side by side burn\, and how first responders can use a drone in the skies of Victoria to aid in identifying fire locations in a burning building as well as help with search and rescue operations. \n  \nInterested in more of a sensory-friendly experience (less noise\, less people) at the VFD Community Open House? Feel free to stop by the event earlier starting at 5:00 p.m. where you’ll be able to explore the various rescue vehicles.
