DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Carver County Environmental Services and local non-profit A Better Society are teaming up to bring more Fix-it Clinics to Carver County. Registration is required. Visit the A Better Society website for information to register to participate or volunteer.: https://www.abettersociety.org/fix-it-clinics/\n\n\nAt these free events\, volunteers help attendees fix items that may otherwise end up being disposed of. These items include vacuums\, clothing\, small engines\, bicycles\, and a variety of other small household items.\n\n\nEvents like these are a great opportunity not only to get items fixed and kept out of the landfill but also foster community and discussion about waste reduction and the “throw-away” mentality.\n\n\nAt this event residents have the opportunity to sit down with a volunteer fixer to talk about their item and work together toward a repair.
