SUMMARY:Fix-it Clinic at A Better Society
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Carver County Environmental Services and local non-profit A Better Society are teaming up to bring more Fix-it Clinics to Carver County. Registration is required. Visit the A Better Society website for information to register to participate or volunteer.: https://www.abettersociety.org/fix-it-clinics/\n\n\n\nA Better Society has its first Fix it Clinic of 2026 on Saturday\, March 7 from noon – 4pm at 1453 Park Road in Chanhassen.\n\n\n\nAt these free events\, volunteers help attendees fix items that may otherwise end up being disposed of. These items include vacuums\, clothing\, small engines\, bicycles\, and a variety of other small household items.\n\nEvents like these are a great opportunity not only to get items fixed and kept out of the landfill but also foster community and discussion about waste reduction and the “throw-away” mentality.\n\nAt this event residents have the opportunity to sit down with a volunteer fixer to talk about their item and work together toward a repair. If an item cannot not be fixed\, volunteers will try their best to diagnose the problem and provide the resident with part numbers\, other repair options or recycling and disposal alternatives.\n\nAlso\, don’t forget to “Save the Date” for our two additional Fix-it clinics on May 30 and August 1!\nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n More\n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:St. Patrick's Cooking Class
DESCRIPTION:St. Patrick’s Day cooking is often defined by a narrow set of expectations\, but Irish food has always been more layered than a single holiday plate. In this demonstration and tasting class\, Chef Cheo offers a fresh perspective on traditional Irish flavors\, exploring recipes\, techniques and presentations that feel both familiar and unexpected. \n\n  \n  \n\nRooted in land\, weather and history\, Irish cooking favors hearty ingredients and dishes meant to sustain and bring people together. Instead of repeating the usual corned beef and cabbage\, the class reimagines classic elements with thoughtful updates — turning soda bread into tender scones\, enriching cottage pie with Guinness and reshaping beloved flavors into new\, shareable forms that still honor their origins. The result is an engaging experience that balances tradition with creativity and offers new ways to enjoy Irish-inspired cooking well beyond March. Enter the grounds at the Farm at the Arb\, 3210 W. 82nd St\, Chanhassen\, MN 55317. See website for ticketing. \n\n\nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n More\n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:Art: Stillpoint\, Changing Line
DESCRIPTION:In a world defined by constant motion\, “Stillpoint\, Changing Line” explores the tension between what we hold onto and what we let go. This exhibition serves to illustrate that nothing remains static. Rather\, the “line” is both a boundary and a path\, marking the edge of what is known while leading us toward what is becoming. The exhibition brings together four distinct voices to explore as they move from the rigid and structural to the fluid and ephemeral. Viewers are invited to travel a complete spectrum of artistic interpretation as they enjoy “still world” of flower cloches to the kinetic power of untamed motion found in paintings. \n  \nVisit the website for admission tickets. Artist meet/greet will be held this day; exhibit runs through May 4. \nShare this:\n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n More\n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n Like this:Like Loading...
