Enjoy a slice of the Boundary Waters experience right here in Carver County! Campers will paddle out to Coney Island, learn about setting up a campsite, cooking over a campfire and the principles of Leave No Trace. After an evening around the campfire and exploring the island, everyone will spend the night under stars. In the morning, campers will have warm breakfast from the fire before learning about fire building followed by paddling back to the mainland.
Limited camping supplies are available upon request, but we ask that you supply your own if you have them (tent and sleeping bag). In the case that the forecast predicts conditions unfavorable for paddling/camping, the program will remain on the mainland and we will camp inside the Paradise Commons building. Camp runs from Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. to Aug. 8 at 10 a.m.
