Schram Haus Leaving Chaska After 7 Years
Schram Haus Brewery, a regional delight for beer lovers around Chaska, has announced it will be permanently closing its doors at the end of the year. The Schram Haus beer label will go on, however, returning to the home operations from which it sprouted at Schram Vineyards in Waconia. The brewery will remain open until Dec. 28, continuing to host social nights variously programmed with trivia, bingo, comedy and live music.

Chanhassen Requests that DNR Loosen Boating Restrictions on Lake Minnewashta
Chanhassen City Council, by a 5-0 vote, has decided to move forward with a request to MN DNR to raise Lake Minnewashta’s Slow-No Wake elevation from 945.0′ to 945.5′. After DNR approval, which requires a 120-day review period, City Council will be able to adopt the modification to city code at a future meeting, before next summer’s boating season.

Public Survey Will Advise Fate of Historic St. Hubertus Church
The St. Hubert Parish in Chanhassen is conducting a public survey to help decide the fate of the historic church at Heritage Square. After the survey’s close on Oct. 31, Rev. Ralph Talbot will be presented with the data to consult with parish leadership and decide whether to restore, make additions to or respectfully demolish the historic church.
