Kathy Perschmann

Kathy Perschmann grew up in St. Louis Park, and lived in California after graduating from the University of Minnesota. She moved to Chaska in 1978. She worked for the Carver County Library System from 1978 to 2016, mostly at the Chaska and Chanhassen branches. She wrote a weekly library column for many years in the Chanhassen Villager and Chaska Herald newspapers promoting library events and programming, and reviewing books. Now she is a member of two book clubs, and enjoying the time to read and socialize around books and authors. She loves attending author talks at libraries and bookstores.

  Chanhassen Library Book Club Celebrates Joy of Reading

  The Chanhassen Library Book Club meets monthly, discussing selected titles. Members chose books for the year, including “Master, Slave, Husband, Wife” and “Olive Kitteridge.” Meetings are typically in person but may alternate with Zoom during winter months.
