Spring is here and Chanhassen is already buzzing with activity, new programs and meaningful progress across the city. Here’s a look at what’s happening around town this April.
Events and Activities
Easter Egg Candy Hunt and Coloring Contest: One of Chanhassen’s most popular traditions returns on Saturday, April 4, at City Center Park. With two waves, age-specific zones and more than 500 kids expected, this is a can’t-miss spring event. Be sure to bring your camera for a photo with the Easter Bunny and don’t forget to participate in the free coloring contest. For more info, click here.
Market Boulevard Improvement Project Open House: Join us on April 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to learn more about this upcoming project, ask questions and share your input. Garden Tool Swap: Spring cleaning meets sustainability at our free Garden Tool Swap on April 25 at the Recreation Center. Bring unused tools or simply stop by and take what you need. Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions. For more info, click here.

City Council Updates
Avienda Development Update: The City Council reviewed an updated concept plan for the Avienda development, including a mix of retail, dining and community gathering spaces. Discussions focused on layout, stormwater management and alignment with the project’s original vision. For more info, click here.
Community Recognitions: The Council honored several outgoing commissioners with Certificates of Appreciation and Maple Leaf Awards, recognizing their service and contributions to the community. The Chanhassen Athletic Association was also recognized for its continued partnership and support of improvements at Lake Ann Park. For more info, click here.
Chanhassen Community Center Update: Council reviewed updated renderings, layouts and design elements for the future community center, including safety features, programming spaces and public feedback, and approved the project’s site plan, marking a key milestone as it moves into final design and construction preparation.
