There’s a new kid in (down)town Chaska, offering a bright, welcoming place to gather and/or work.
Chaska Commons Coworking, located at 210 N. Chestnut Street, officially opened for business in September 2025 and includes a variety of options, including private offices, open lounge spaces, a 10–to-12-person conference room, a kitchen/break area, and a patio that make it perfect for entrepreneurs, work-from-home corporate professionals, lawyers, recruiters, tech company employees and others.
“We purchased the property in September 2022 with the intention to create a place for a coffee shop nomad, someone who works outside their home,” said owner Devin Creurer. “On the day of closing, we were approached by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, who was interested in finding a space that would be an alternative to their construction trailer for the upcoming Highway 41 project. For the next two years, they occupied our space during that big project.”
After MnDOT left in August 2024, Creurer immediately began renovating the building down to the studs, adding all new electrical, plumbing, and drywall.
“The only thing not replaced were the original hardwood floors from 1892 when the space was first used as the Muyers Hardware Store (featured in many historic Chaska photos),” he said. ‘The renovation took 12 months, and immediately upon completion, all seven private offices were leased.”
The building features sleek, modern furniture and a lot of light, and business has been good so far.
“We believe our space is some of the best designed coworking space in the metro, while our membership prices are 25-30% less than many other coworking businesses due to our limited on-site staff,” said Creurer. “We offer a variety of options at many price points, including flexible monthly lounge memberships (as low as $150), dedicated desks, shared offices, and private office suites ($850 or $1,200). The building operates with a secure access control system where members’ cell phones allow them to access the building and reserve the conference room.”
Amenities are plentiful at the location.
“Our kitchen and break area features a coffee bar with beans provided by local Jones Coffee and members receive a discount at Jones Coffee,” Creurer noted. “We also have an amazing outdoor patio that overlooks the new Chaska Paseo, and we’re eager to partner with the city on events this summer. If you’re someone who is tired of working from a coffeeshop or the kitchen table, and need a professional space to focus, meet clients and collaborate, we’ve got some great options for you.”
