Volunteers Sought for Carver County’s Water Management Committee


Carver County Water Management Organization’s citizen advisory committee has an opening for a citizen representative from Commissioner District 1.  

The Carver County Water Management Organization’s citizen advisory committee has an opening for a citizen representative from Carver County Commissioner District 1.

The committee consists of appointed individuals and representatives from watershed districts and commissioner districts within Carver County. Members meet monthly with staff to learn about water issues, plans, projects and more relating to our lakes, rivers and wetlands.

The committee provides input to county staff and makes recommendations to the County Board on the following items to protect and preserve waters in the county:

  • Projects and project prioritization
  • Funding and water levy
  • Water Plan, Groundwater Plan and Solid Waste Plan
  • Water quality studies, programs and projects
  • Education program and projects

Interested candidates can apply online or contact mseveland@carvercountymn.gov or 952-687-7586 to request a paper application. The position will remain open until it is filled.
