A new year means new events to look forward to and plenty of helpful reminders to help you navigate winter.
Here is a roundup of what is happening around Chanhassen this January.
Events and Activities
Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center Community Open House (Jan. 7): Residents were invited to meet with city staff, review updated materials, ask questions and share feedback on the Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center project. The open house was Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Chanhassen Recreation Center (2310 Coulter Blvd).

Kids Night at the Chanhassen Recreation Center (Jan. 12): Kids ages 4 to 10 can enjoy a fun evening of gym games, crafts, a movie and pizza. Check-in begins at 5 p.m. and the program runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12. Registration details are available here
Royal Ball with Anna & Elsa (Jan. 30): Anna and Elsa have cordially requested your attendance at a Royal Ball co-sponsored by the Chanhassen and Victoria Recreation Centers. This event takes place Friday, Jan. 30, at Lions Park Pavilion in Victoria and includes crafts, photos, food, music and storytelling. Register here
Sweetheart Dance (Feb. 6): The Sweetheart Dance is a chance for kids ages 4 to 10 to bring their sweetheart (mom, dad, grandparent, etc.) for a special evening of dinner, dancing, games and a photo booth. It is Friday, Feb. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. Register here
FebFest (Feb. 7): Mark your calendar for the 33rd annual February Festival on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 12 to 3 p.m. on Lake Ann at Lake Ann Park. Expect an ice fishing contest, food and drink concessions, door prizes, a medallion hunt and free family activities. For details, click here

City Council Updates
Truth in Taxation and the 2026 budget: At its Dec. 15 meeting, the Chanhassen City Council held its annual Truth in Taxation public hearing and reviewed the city’s proposed 2026 budget and property tax levy. Truth in Taxation is a state-required process designed to give residents a clear look at how city budgets are developed, how tax dollars are used and how levy decisions affect property taxes.
