Ridgeview Recognized for Surgical Care, Joint Replacement

Ridgeview has again been nationally recognized for exceptional clinical excellence by Healthgrades, a site patients use when searching for a doctor or hospital.

For a second year in a row, Ridgeview has been named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for surgical care. This distinction places Ridgeview among the top 5% of hospitals in the nation for surgical care for two years in a row.

For a third year in a row, Ridgeview has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for joint replacement — again placing Ridgeview among the top 5% in the nation. With this distinction, Ridgeview was named a 5-star recipient for total knee replacement and a 5-star recipient for total hip replacement for three years in a row. In addition to these national honors, Ridgeview was ranked No. 2 in Minnesota for Joint Replacement.

“To be recognized by Healthgrades year after year is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Ridgeview system. Receiving this honor is motivation to continue to deliver the excellent care that patients know and trust when they come to Ridgeview,” said Mike Phelps, Ridgeview president and CEO.

Healthgrades annually evaluates risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify the top hospitals in key specialty areas.

Ridgeview is an independent, nonprofit, regional health care system serving the southwest metro region of the Twin Cities. Its network includes four hospital campuses — located in Chaska, Arlington, Le Sueur and Waconia.
