Biographical Information:

Steve was born on August 23, 1949, in Owatonna, MN, to Harry and Donna (Dugan) Wilker. He is one of 7 children. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Owatonna, and graduated from Marion High School, Owatonna, MN, in the class of 1967. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Dunwoody Institute. On September 6, 1969, he married Coleen Mullenmaster at Christ the King in Medford, MN. They had three children, Kristine, D.J. and Katie. Steve was employed at the City of Owatonna, Public Utilities, from 1969 to 1983. He moved his family to Chanhassen, MN, and worked for the City of Chaska as the Electrical Director for 33 years, retiring in 2016. Steve was an avid MN sports fan. He loved golf and was a great golfer. When he wasn’t playing golf, he was watching it, and for over a decade, he made golf clubs that his wife, children, and others still play with today. Steve also enjoyed water skiing, fishing, pheasant hunting, and loved music. He was an awesome singer who sang at many, many weddings and funerals of family and friends. He was also a member of the Chaska Lions

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Coleen; children, Kristine McMahon of Chaska, Daniel John (Sunny) Wilker of Eden Prairie, Katie (Randall) Barrett of Chaska; 7 grandchildren, Logan McMahon, Johnny Wilker, Connor McMahon, Grace Wilker, Marysparrow Wilker, Xavier Barrett, Scarlett Barrett; siblings, Lynn (Randy) Stay of Albert Lea, Nancy Heiser of Albert Lea, Tim (Barb) Wilker of Rochester, Chris (Jody) Wilker of Texas, Tom (Laura) Wilker of Faribault; the Mullenmaster Family and many nieces and nephews

Preceded in Death By:

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Donna Wilker, granddaughter, Lilian Grace Wilker, brother-in-law, Mike Heiser, and sister, Mary Wilker Wolf.

Funeral Service Details:

An Open House/Visitation was held on Friday, December 12, 2025. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Crown of Glory Lutheran Church. Pastor Reggie Klindworth officiated. The inurnment/burial will take place later in the Spring at Bath Cemetery, St. Aidan’s in Ellendale, MN.
