Date of Birth: 3/24/1937

Location of Passing: Chaska, Minnesota

Date of Passing: 11/29/2025

Biographical Information:

Donna was born on March 24, 1937, and raised in Carver, Minnesota, by her parents, Ernest and Annie Lenzen. She was baptized, confirmed, and later married at Trinity Lutheran Church. Donna graduated from Chaska High School.

On June 16, 1954, she married the love of her life, Delmar Kloos. After their marriage, Donna moved to the family farm, where she dedicated her life to raising their three sons—Steve, Dan, and Mike. Donna firmly believed in faith and family. She lovingly, and firmly, ran the homestead, ensuring it was always filled with warmth, hard work, and care.

Donna was well known for her role during haying season. Many were amazed at how she could begin baling at noon, harvest over 1,000 bales, and still prepare a feast for everyone who volunteered their labor. It was often said that many came to help just for her incredible meals.

Donna had a quick wit and knew how to make those around her laugh. Although she never played sports herself, she was an enthusiastic fan of the Timberwolves, Vikings, and Gophers. More than any team, however, she was the biggest fan of her grandchildren. Rarely did she miss a sporting event, school program, or activity—her support was unwavering. She kept statistics at every game in a notepad and often would mention if the officials were incorrect.

Her strong faith and commitment to community were evident throughout her life. Donna served as the leader of the Sugar City 4-H Club for over ten years and taught Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church for more than twenty-five years. Her love, guidance, and dedication will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

A special and heartfelt thank you is extended to Beth Keen, Donna’s “best friend” and caregiver, for her love and support.
