Chaska Boys Basketball Picks Up Win

The Chaska boys basketball teams had their first home games of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 9, hosting the Champlin Park Rebels.

Fans braved the snowy weather to support the team for Chaska Youth Basketball Night, and were rewarded as the varsity team came away with an 88-68 win.

The Hawks were led by junior Tyler Forrest, who had 28 points, while junior Kalin Jochum contributed 17. Sophomore Chase Maetzold was in double digits with 11 points, senior Evan Atkinson had 9 and junior Eli Herzog added 8.

Ten Hawks players put points on the board in this game, with a great showing in this season’s home opener.

Upcoming home game: Dec. 19 — 7 p.m. vs. Eden Prairie
